Everyone will agree that a lot of holidays take place during the      summer months, but that doesn’t mean that your holiday home       marketing should only focus on June July and August.

Recently, there has been a marked increase in autumn, winter, and spring breaks, with people having a UK break rather than battling with the airports. This means you could get more trade during the rest of the year, but you’ll have to be proactive to get the message across.

Good photography will increase holiday let occupancy.

Photos are an incredibly powerful part of any holiday let marketing. They show potential guests what to expect and what the property looks like.

But when was the last time you updated the photography of your holiday cottage? A lot of owners can be guilty of leaving the same photos on a site for years, so now is the time to step up and get it changed in order to attract those out of season visitors to your      holiday home!

Having great photography to show off your holiday home is always a good thing. You can make it even better by featuring photos of your property throughout the different seasons.

You know what your holiday rental looks like in the spring, summer, autumn and winter. But no one else does. So provide pictures of the reddened leaves falling to the ground outside your holiday home in autumn. Have pictures of the snowdrops and daffodils when they first appear in spring.

People respond well to images, so show them that your cottage is a wonderful and cosy place to stay in spring, autumn or winter.                It will really encourage them to book all year round.

Let people know you’re open

Now is a great time to be highlighting spring availability. Potential guests may be unsure as to whether you’re open throughout the year, so you’ve got to tell them. You may think it’s obvious that your let is available, and that people can check the availability themselves through an online booking system, but that extra reminder could convince a few extra guests to book a spring, autumn or winter retreat. If you show a different view on your holiday let with every season that passes, you’ll be providing something that others don’t – giving you an extra opportunity to convert more of your                  lookers into bookers!
